Joint Operations Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Provide detailed planning support across the full range of counterterrorism and great power competition requirements associated with the Command's strategic planning and operational efforts. Integrate planning and intelligence into the Command's operational planning process to enhance DoD, Interagency, and Country Team effectiveness throughout the Indo-Pacific AOR. Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor in conducting multi-disciplined research, production, and assessment to deliver informed operational-focused recommendations for course of action development and concept of operation (CONOP) production. Increase situational awareness through characterization of threats, identification of critical nodes, isolation of associated gaps, and fusion of data sets to enable full spectrum of SOF operations. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with integral members of relevant communities of interest, including USSOCOM, Components, Combatant Commands, and Interagency partners to directly support the application of SOF operational capabilities and facilitate preferred effects.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with military multi-disciplined operations and planning supporting military forces at the tactical and operational levels
-5+ years of experience with DoD and USG IA plans, policies, directives, and planning processes and developing operations, activities, and investments that operationalize campaign objectives in support of a Combatant Command or USG IA
-3+ years of experience with operational or tactical level military deployments in an interagency team environment for the USINDOPACOM AOR
-Experience with great power competition planning and operations
-Experience with participating in Joint and operational planning groups to provide military forces input to theater campaign planning, response plans, and Joint Staff directed PLANORDs
-Experience with analyzing and evaluating information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications
-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with international work or cultural expertise for the Indo-Pacific

-Ability to construct concise briefings, point papers, and executive-level updates to senior leaders

Clearance:
