Test Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and modified products or product components and investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups. Guide and direct junior personnel on the set-up and performance of tests. Act as a liaison with outside suppliers in establishing or modifying specifications for purchased items. Devise and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors. Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs. Act in a liaison capacity with other departments, divisions, and organizations while evaluating progress and results and recommend major changes in procedures. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with testing
-Experience with technologies, including automated testing scripts

-Experience in Linux or UNIX environments

-Experience with working in an Agile development environment using the JIRA bug tracking tool
-Top Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

-Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification or obtain within 6 months of hire

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux administration

-Experience with COTS or GOTS automated XML testing tools

-Experience with configuring applications in Apache Tomcat

-Experience with TCP/IP socket, FTP, SFTP, and other network protocols

-Experience with testing analytical functions in Cloud-based architectures and other data

-Knowledge of government contracting practices

-Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
-Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred

-Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
