The Challenge:

Warnings about cyber threats are everywhere and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to to government agencies and commercial clients. In all of this “cyber noise”, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you – build your knowledge as an information security risk specialist who can help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll work with government agencies and commercial clients with discovering their cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing a mitigation plan. You’ll gather technical, environmental, and personnel details from system owners and engineers to help with assessment of the entire threat landscape. You’ll learn how to guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones and help to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their critical infrastructure. You Have:

  • 1+ years of experience with performing risk analyses, effective risk management, and developing security assessment reports, including Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)

  • 1+ years of experience with performing FedRAMP security control testing activities or FISMA ATO support for identified applications and data centers

  • Experience with developing security assessment plans, artifact request lists, system security plans, and security assessment report matrices

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security), Cisco Certified Network Associate Cyber Security Operations (CCNA Cyber Ops), Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA), GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information System Security Professional or Associate (CISSP or Associate)
