Operational Exercise Planner, Senior

The Challenge:

You can coordinate with Combatant Command (COCOM), other service component commands, and interagency stakeholders to properly plan, prepare, and resource strategic and operational requirements. You’ll conduct mission analysis, including staff estimates, courses of action, and decision support templates for campaign and contingency plans. You’ll participate in or facilitate Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), bureaus, boards, cells, conferences, and working group (B2C2WG) events, information paper development, operational and strategic assessments, and response to or creation of Requests for Information (RFIs). You’ll contribute to the development, analysis, and evaluation of policy, processes, and systems related to EOD, C-IED, C-UAS, and site exploitation. You’ll support other initiatives and requirements, including organizational assessment and input to higher headquarters. You’ll contribute to the synchronization of objectives, activities, and investments (OAI) in a matrix organization with multiple functional areas and provide written reports and briefs to senior military audiences.

You Have:

-6+ years of experience with operations as an Army Colonel, Lieutenant Colonel

-2+ years of experience with military Exercise Planning, including USINDOPACOM theater

-Experience with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC)

-TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Nice If You Have:

-2+ years of experience with tactical or operational planning at the division, corps, or theater level

-2+ years of experience in the Joint environment

-Experience with Army multi-domain operations (MDO) concepts

-Experience with the responsibilities of a Commander or in a Joint Task Force

-Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) or service equivalent

-SAMs Graduate or Junior Service College completion
