Staff Officer Planner

The Opportunity:

With all the information available today, it takes a skilled intelligence analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. With the critical decisions made in the military every day, we need an intel analyst like you to do just that. As a Staff Officer Planner, you use your specialized technical experience and your attention to detail to develop reports, to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters. 

As a Staff Officer Planner on our team, you’ll help your client gather information and employ critical thinking to synthesize information received. You will support administrative activities and scheduling for events. Your experience will also help the client with research and synthesize complex information to prepare briefings, staff material, read-ahead, presentations, and other material, as required. You will also develop written correspondence, including internal and external communication products and taskers. Your team with benefit from your experience with operations analysis or mission management, including the ability to create and maintain databases to better understand and synchronize intelligence picture, resource allocation, and staffing requirements. Finally, your experience working in or coordinating with operational intelligence centers will help your client to rely on you for time-critical recommendations, often under pressure.

You Have: 

  • 3+ years of experience with critical thinking to synthesize information received and support administrative activities as well as scheduling for events
  • 3+ years of experience with researching and synthesizing complex information to prepare briefings, staff material, read-ahead, presentations, and other material, as needed
  • Experience working in or coordinating with operational intelligence centers
  • Ability to develop written correspondence, including internal and external communication products and taskers
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience at a Combatant Command or Service Center
  • Experience applying knowledge management or data science techniques and procedures to client problems to drive efficiency
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills, including updating tracking mechanisms, compiling analytic reports, and responding to tasks
  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
