Strategic and Operational Planner

As a defense mission expert, you’ll bring your leadership, consulting, strategic, operational, MDMP, and JOPP expertise to work alongside thought leaders in the DoD on projects for the DoD. You’ll use your skills and expertise to research, develop, analyze, assess, plan, and support, the DoD mission area. Work with us to assess, analyze and plan for the region in support of the DoD mission. You served your country as an Officer 03, 04, 05, or 06, — now, continue your mission with us. Further your career while creating mission-forward solutions that matter.

You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience in DoD operational planning

  • 5+ years of experience with military operations

  • 3+ years of experience with the Northeast Asia region

  • 2+ years of experience with Operational planning in the Joint environment or at the Corps or theater level

  • Experience with using Microsoft Office products

  • Knowledge of Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)

  • Knowledge of Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP)

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience with the U.S. Army or U.S. Navy

  • Experience with Artillery, Air Defense, Infantry, or Intelligence

  • Experience with Joint tests and experimentation

  • Experience with joint targeting cycle and associated network considerations

  • Experience in developing advanced warfighting concepts and structures

  • Experience in planning with Partners and Allies

  • Knowledge of Army multi-domain operations (MDO) and MDO capable formations

  • Knowledge of Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning

  • Master's degree

  • Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or sister service equivalent

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
