Strategic Communications Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Provide organizational and mass communications consulting to organizational leaders, members, and stakeholders at unclassified and classified levels. Assist with the development of briefings, create talking points and key messages, and write articles. Perform baseline assessments and social media analyses, design a communication approach, plan, and develop information, themes, and messages that support strategic communication objectives. Implement a communication plan and measure effects. Evaluate plans, document lessons learned, and make recommendations, as needed, for current and emergent strategic communications issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with social media, journalism, public affairs, or strategic communications in the DoD, DoD partners or Intelligence community
  • 3+ years of experience in working directly with senior leaders and HQ’s staff
  • Ability to develop and implement communication plans and strategies
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in coordinating and working with adjacent service components and Higher Headquarter Command
  • Experience in Indo-Pacific AOR
  • Knowledge of the Japanese culture
  • Ability to speak the Japanese language
  • MA or MS degree
