Air Operations Center Strategic Division Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Support a combat plans division in leading long-range and near-term planning, guidance, and operational assessment of joint air operations. Coordinate with various planners in their work on operational design and serves as a primary member of a joint planning group to help create the Integrated Air and Missile Defense plan. Leverage expertise in operational design and the joint operational planning process and use the planning process to develop long-range plans and maintain the joint air operations plan. Coordinate with service, functional, and coalition component planners on long-range air component plans. Perform near-term planning and communicate against guidance for joint air operations primarily through the air operations directive.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a division level planner or operations analyst supporting the DoD
  • 1+ years of experience in an Air Force Air Operations Center (AOC)
  • 1+ years of experience with Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) planning
  • Knowledge of the Joint Operational Planning Process-Air and crisis planning and deliberate planning process
  • Ability to integrate mission objectives and resources to provide effective options for senior level military clients
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in the US-INDOPACOM area of responsibility
  • Experience with Patriot, AEGIS, or other missile defense systems

Clearance:
