Air Operations Plans Analyst, Senior

As an Air Operations Plans Analyst, you’ll bring your military air operation subject matter expertise to work alongside thought leaders in military posture planning on service projects to develop long-range air operations plans supporting the Department of Defense. You’ll use your skills and expertise to research, analyze, develop plans, and make recommendations for long-range air operations and exercises.


Work with us to bring innovative solutions to complex challenges by contributing your expertise to the Joint Force Commander's long-range planning efforts which will enable the Department of Defense to operate confidently and effectively in the Indo-Pacific Region.

You Have:  

  • 5+ years of experience executing air operations-centric exercises and operations
  • 5+ years of experience planning military air operations using the Joint Operation Planning Process for Air (JOPP-A) process
  • Experience with aeronautical rating as a Pilot, Navigator, Combat Systems Officer (CSO), or Air Battle Manager (ABM)
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Graduate of Intermediate Level Professional Military Education correspondence or in-residence

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience in a service component operational level center or coordination cell, including an Air Operations Center (AOC) or Joint Operations Center (JOC)
  • Experience with staff at the Numbered Air Force level such as a 3-star General Headquarters, or above
  • Knowledge of JOPP-A and Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) processes
  • Ability to lead and facilitate military planning teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other services and foreign governments and militaries
  • Ability to create verbal and written communication products for clients, including presentations, plans, and orders
  • Ability to present high-level program initiatives at the Major Service Component and Combatant Command levels
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
