Geospatial Intelligence Analyst

The Challenge:

As a Booz Allen geospatial analyst, you’ll be working with a team of analysts and domain experts to extract meaning and context from a variety of vector and raster data sources. Using tools such as ArcGIS, Spatial Data Modeler, RemoteView, IPWS, and SOCET GXP, you’ll find the patterns and connections to answer your client's specific intelligence challenges. Your skills will come in handy as you integrate data, detect patterns, discover and visualize relationships, make predictions, and contribute to formal reports to make sure warfighters, stakeholders, and policymakers have the timely information they need. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop workflows. This is an opportunity to build your experience in scripting and programming, advanced analytics, and data modeling while developing products to improve the efficacy of GEOINT in solving challenging intelligence issues. Join us as we turn data into knowledge to support our warfighters, protect our national security, and inform our nation’s leaders.

You Have:

-3+ years of experience as a geospatial analyst, including using ArcGIS, RemoteView or Socet GXP, Cedalion, Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC), and the Microsoft Office Suite

-Experience with the extraction of feature data using NTM, Mapping, Charting and Geodesy (MC&G) Stereo Imagery, Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB) or Orth Rectified Mono Equivalent, including Precise Terrain and Ortho Product (PTOP), Mr. Sid Orth Rectified Geotiffs (MSOG), Precise Orth Rectified Image Datasets (POlD), and Controlled Image Base (CIB)

-Experience with identifying, compiling, and assessing geospatial and imagery data sets to support requirements

-Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographic information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry

-Knowledge of the DoD and the intelligence community (IC)

-Ability to create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products and conduct quality control checks without significant errors

-Ability to read and comprehend intelligence issues and military affairs, perform geospatial analysis, and present results in the form of datasets, visualization, and models for inclusion in standard and formalized intelligence analysis products

-Ability to deploy on a rotational basis

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in Cartography, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Physical Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

-Knowledge of one or more of the following: ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, SocetSet, TerraExplorer or Builder, ERDAS IMAGINE, or MRSID

-Knowledge of a VB and VBA or equivalent object–oriented programming or scripting language

-Knowledge of Oracle and equivalent or appropriate software used to analyze geospatial data, or commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors

-Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques such as data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence

-Knowledge of the DoD tasking and collection process

-MA or MS degree in Cartography, Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Physical Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics

-GIS Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.
