Intelligence Engagements Officer

The Challenge:

As an intelligence engagements officer, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of intelligence security cooperation and engagement between US Africa Command (USAFRICOM) and its partner nations. You will analyze, coordinate, and manage intelligence and security cooperation and foreign liaison activities for USAFRICOM and partner nation officials, to include information exchanges, training, equipment transfers, key leader engagement, and conferences. You’ll be responsible for supporting the development of an annual intelligence security cooperation strategy, arranging senior military officer travel, and procuring, maintaining, and presenting operational files, including trip reports, key personality biographies, foreign intelligence capabilities, country-specific security cooperation strategies, and planning documents. You will be working closely with US and partner nation flag officers, intelligence analysts, subject matter experts, protocol officers, counterintelligence officers, and other military administrators to shape policy and to monitor and advise on conditions in prospective operational environments. You Have:

-6+ years of experience with facilitating intelligence engagements and security cooperation between US and non-US official entities

-Experience with event planning, executive support, intelligence exchanges and analysis, and protocol activities

-Experience with briefing senior executives, including senior US defense officials or flag officers

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

-Ability to travel in Africa and Europe frequently, including occasional short notice

-Knowledge of DoD security cooperation authorities, best practices, policies, and procedures

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) 

-Knowledge of databases and software programs, including IC and government-related systems

-Knowledge of USAFRICOM regional history and politics

-Ability to show expertise in languages, including Arabic or French

-BA or BS degree in Political Science, International Affairs, or related field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
