The Challenge:

We’re looking for a systems administrator who specializes in Red Hat Enterprise Linux with a solid background in systems administration and network management to help us perform installation and upgrades of production servers and operating systems, applications, and patches.
As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll install and maintain networks through monitoring network management systems, analyzing system logs and perform troubleshooting. Evaluate vendor specifications and securing quotations for hardware and software purchases. Assist with managing property inventory, including software, hardware purchases, and licenses and author documents of lab configurations and network topologies to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like data links, cybersecurity, and network monitoring. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the teamwork through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. You Have:
Nice If You Have:
Experience with maintaining networks
Experience in working with Army and Air Force air defense weapons systems, including ground radar software data, MSCT, JRE, TDF, air surveillance systems, FAA, and Army ground radar
Experience in working with network monitoring systems, such as SolarWinds and Splunk
Experience with providing 24x7 tiered escalation support model
Possession of excellent customer service skills, including on the phone, email, and in person
BA or BS degree in CS or Technology
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
