As a cyber threat specialist on our team, you’ll help customers solve problems using the latest software like Splunk, Wireshark, Zeek/Bro, Suricata, and Nessus. Using advanced knowledge of networking, you’ll work alongside multiple stakeholders to evaluate risk and make meaningful recommendations. You’ll monitor security environments and identify security gaps through the eyes of an adversary.
In this role, you’ll impact Navy missions by monitoring the network environment for new and evolving threats, providing cybersecurity expertise, analysis, and support to defensive cyber operations (DCO).

You Have:
4+ years of experience with DoD operational missions and impacts
4+ years of experience with cyber strategic and operational environments
4+ years of experience with DoD Information Technology, DoD Information Networks, or cyberspace tactical environments
Experience with cybersecurity, vulnerability scanning, and network monitoring tools to support defensive cyber operations, including Splunk, Wireshark, and Zeek/Bro or Suricata
Experience with TCP/IP networking
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
CompTIA Security+ Certification to meet DoD 8140 Compliance
Nice If You Have:
Experience with DoD or Navy cybersecurity and acquisition processes
Experience with the DoD or Navy Cyber Test and Evaluation (T&E) 6 phase process
Experience with penetration testing
Experience with cyber resilience and cyber survivability requirements
Experience with cybersecurity management tools
Experience with RedSeal and security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxies, intrusion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools
Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
CCNP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
