Financial Analyst

The Challenge:

That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to make our Navy's resources can make the most impact.

As a financial analyst on our team, you will support the DoD objective to receive a clean financial audit opinion by 2028. You will assist the client staff with efforts to evaluate the operational design and effectiveness of internal controls for shipyard processes, programs, and systems. You will support the client in responding to internal and external audits, perform risk analysis on various business processes, conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed. You will assist a diverse client team of Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) analysts, accountants, and budget analysts achieve their financial goals. This position is located in Pearl Harbor, HI.

You Have:
•    3+ years of experience in working with finance or auditing
•    Experience with historical comparative analysis of financial records
•    Knowledge of financial accounting principles
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•    Ability to employ business process improvement techniques to create efficiencies
•    Secret clearance
•    Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
•    Experience with Department of the Navy shipyard operations or financial systems  
•    Experience with inventory management
•    Master’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting
•    Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or a similar Certification


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
