Fuels Project Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Apply expertise to the overall oversight and execution coordination with fuels stakeholders, providing project and contract support. Fuel system infrastructure repair plan development to ensure the availability of adequate fuel and fuel storage and distribution systems. Leverage systems expertise, submit and advocate for various fuels projects, including in-house or contracted maintenance and repair service orders, Sustainment, Restoration, Modernization (SRM) projects, and military construction (MILCON) projects. Recommend requirements for fuel systems and provide advocacy to garner support for project funding. Work closely with stakeholders to deconflict various project work scopes during execution to ensure mission readiness of fuel systems and minimize the operational impact of proposed work. Provide fuel systems capability project status reports and briefs to stakeholders and higher leadership regularly as required by stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience with mechanical systems, including fluid piping and pump systems

  • 5 years of experience with the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems, including piping systems
  • Experience with major construction projects
  • Knowledge of fluid pump systems
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with fuel systems infrastructure
  • Experience with aircraft fueling systems
  • Experience with military construction projects preferred
  • Knowledge of DoD fuel systems
  • Secret clearance
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fuel Systems Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
