As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to design and administer systems in support of Navy production systems and networks. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize Navy networks and systems that support the Fleet and warfighter. You’ll develop your skills in Windows, Linux, networking, and virtualization technologies while gaining experience in the Navy operational environment. You Have:

  • Experience with administering the technologies including Microsoft Windows server and workstation, ESXi, Linux, and Cisco
  • Experience implementing systems engineering practices and configuring technologies in accordance with applicable DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience with Navy enterprise networks including ONE-NET products, capabilities, practices, and ability to submit requests and trouble tickets to resolve issues
  • Experience with the implementation of cybersecurity best practices, reporting procedures, and configuration management with regards to hardware and software data capture and reporting
  • Experience with network administration and configuration including TCP/IP, routing, cabling, and switching
  • Experience with office automation applications including Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome
  • Ability to work independently, providing clients with high value subject matter expertise, and timely support in an operational environment
  • Secret clearance
  • BS or BA degree
  • Security+ or DoD IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with managing multiple operating systems and technologies including Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMWare, macOS X, Cisco, Juniper, and McAfee
  • Experience with developing CM programs using tools such as CMPRO
  • Knowledge of configuration management best practices
  • BS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Operating system or network certifications including Windows MCSA or MCSE, VMware Certified Professional, Red Hat Certified System Administrator, or Cisco Certified Network Associate
