Undersea Systems Expert

Key Role:

Design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment, including power supply and propulsion systems. Conduct analytical, environmental, operational, or performance studies to develop designs for products, including marine engines, equipment, and structures. Conduct environmental, operational, or performance tests on marine machinery and equipment. Design and oversee testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment. Develop tactics, techniques, and procedures for submarine and unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) operations. Develop operating instructions and tactical employment guides for various undersea assets.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with US Navy submarine operations

-5+ years of experience with unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) or unmanned surface vehicle (USV) operations

-Knowledge of US Navy tactics

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with managing teams

-Experience with training and certification within the Navy submarine program

-Experience with submarine communications

-Experience with secure communications

-Experience with maintenance and repair of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV) and remotely operated vehicles (ROV)

-Experience with acoustic analysis

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
