We need an experienced Java developer who will use their passion to support a development team learning new tools and techniques and implementing system improvements. This is an opportunity to solve problems by collaborating with a development team to build a system with modern frameworks and a user-centric design. You’ll work with front-end developers to create REST APIs using Spring Boot. With mentoring, positive code reviews, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. As part of a technical team, you’ll identify new opportunities to build digital solutions to help your customers meet their toughest challenges. This position is open to remote delivery from any location in the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

-3+ years of experience with developing Java applications

-1+ years of experience with developing REST APIs with Spring Boot

-Experience with technical design and code reviews

-Experience with oracle as a relational database

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with using Junit for testing

-Experience with supporting software and web architecture development

-Experience with using Agile software development methods in a DevOps environment

-Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitHub and GitLab 

-Knowledge of web development specifics, including JSON REST, CORS, JSONP, web architecture, and HTTP specification

-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in CS preferred; MS degree in CS a plus
