Fires and Effects Analyst

Key Role:

Provide analytical and technical support in the design and coordination of organic, joint, bilateral, and multilateral fires in various Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI) in the Indo-Pacific Region. Advise and assist the integration of the client with the Fires and Effects Coordination Center. Advise and assist in planning digital C2 Fires Architecture in support of the client, coordinating, synchronizing, and de-conflicting air strikes and artillery fires for the Joint and Combined forces. Attend joint, bilateral, and multinational planning conferences, working groups, and site surveys in order to gather data, plan, and provide recommendations to U.S. Government attendees on the conduct of OAIs. Serve in the planning and coordination capacity of the uniformed customer when required, make coordination with adjacent staff sections and subordinate units on the client’s behalf, and serve as continuity and provide guidance using established regional knowledge. Coordinate intended effects with the use of various fires unilaterally, bilaterally, and multilaterally. Advise and assist the staff on Force Design issues and developments, and perform operational analysis to enable the alignment of resources to mission priorities, tasks, and requirements. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Joint and Combined military fires in the Indo-Pacific AOR, including planning, preparation, and coordination with adjacent and higher commands in Northeast and Southeast Asia and Oceania
  • Experience in planning and executing digital C2 Fires Architecture in support of the client, coordinating, synchronizing, and de-conflicting air strikes and artillery fires for the Joint and Combined force
  • Knowledge of various systems related to military fires, including Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems (AFATDS), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), and simulation-based systems to integrate and conduct Live, Virtual, and Constructive training
  • Knowledge of various military munitions and delivery systems, platforms, tactics, techniques, and procedures related to the employment of military fires 
  • Ability to integrate the MEF Information Group (MIG) Information Warfare Center (IWC) with the Fires and Effects Coordination Center (FECC) and the Bilateral Ground Operations Coordination Center (BGOCC)
  • Ability to apply information from the documents to advise in the design of an exercise construct that meets both Theater Security Cooperation and Training and Readiness objectives
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate, including orally and written complex data analysis topics to senior leaders and their respective staff
  • Ability to advise leadership on means to achieve exercise planning objectives within a fiscally responsible exercise construct
  • Ability to work with senior-level staff members at the Joint and Combined level
  • Graduate of Expeditionary Warfare School or Command and Staff College

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
