Civil Structural Engineer

Key Role:

Provide professional engineering expertise and advise on the structural design of critical command and control (C2) facilities. Evaluate the ability of the critical assets to survive various threats and hazards by conducting analyses of the response of structures that house and protect critical assets and their supporting infrastructures and their contents to diverse threats and hazards. Leverage thorough understanding of military construction, standards, and secured work areas, including sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIFs). Identify all aspects of structural related issues and provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with command and control (C2) facilities

  • Experience in blast effects, damage assessments, and physical barriers to mitigate blast effects

  • Knowledge of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers processes and directives, including the Unified Facilities Criteria, DoD Standoff Distances, and Security Engineering Design Manuals

  • Ability to develop military construction documents, including DD-1391s

  • Secret clearance

  • BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • Professional Engineer's license

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a military Civil Engineering officer

  • Experience with military construction projects in South Korea

  • Top Secret clearance

  • MS in Civil Engineering
