Logistics Systems Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Direct and coordinate program activities and supportability engineering designed to provide customers, management, and subcontractors with logistics technology that ensures effective and economical support concerned with manufacturing or servicing of products, systems, or equipment. Apply advanced consulting or extensive technical expertise as well as full industry knowledge and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Oversee tasking requirements and evaluate current logistics Automated Information Systems (AIS) operations and instruct subordinates. Develop, analyze, and conduct operational research and audits. Review AIS software packages and source documents and analyze the establishment of policies to determine format- and-design requirements. Prepare follow-up reports evaluating the effectiveness of system implementations. Determine the topics, target audiences, and resources necessary to develop and present Naval logistics courses.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a combination of Navy logistics and Navy logistics Automatic Information Systems (AIS) management
  • 8+ years of experience with supporting Navy Automatic Information Systems (AIS) functional analysis, networks, and programming, including serving as a subject matter expert on Operational Supply IT systems
  • 2 years of experience as a senior-level analyst working under a formal quality management system
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Ability to develop, analyze and conduct operational research and audits for reports evaluating effectiveness of systems implementations
  • Secret clearance 
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Navy or Marine Corps logistician with operational forces
  • BA or BS degree in Management Information Systems, IT, Information Science, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative science field
