We’re looking for a systems administrator who specializes in administering and deploying VMware Sphere 6, 6.5, or 6.7 and Horizon View 6 or 7 with a solid background in designing and documenting new infrastructure deployment to help us manage systems to train the next generation of Navy sailors in a secure modernized computer environment. 

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll ensure student training infrastructure is functional and available and the virtual desktops are properly configured. You’ll help customers to overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. You Have:

• 2 years of experience with administering and deploying VMware Sphere 6 or higher
• 2 years of experience with system administration
• Experience with designing and documenting new infrastructure deployment
• Ability to build, configure, and maintain servers within compliance standards
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems, including Navy POR systems
• Experience with Dell or Cisco UCS server management
• Experience with implementing VMware, Linux, and Windows STIGs
• Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or NaviCLI
• Experience with EMC VNX, XtremIO, or Unity storage arrays using fiber channel or FCoE
• Experience with VMware VSAN
• Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI
• BA or BS degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Microsoft Certifications, including MCITP-EA or MCSE
• VMware Certified Professional 5 Certification or higher
• Navy Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Computing Environment Certification for a designated Operating System
