Information Management and Knowledge Management Analyst

Key Role:

Provide Information Management (IM) and Knowledge Management (KM) support to a DoD client. Provide IT technical and administrative services, install, operate, and maintain Local Area Network (LAN) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems ranging from unclassified to TS/SCI levels, install software on computers, configure desktop and notebook computers based on requirements, perform implementation of firewalls, antivirus software, networking monitoring applications, and active intrusion detection systems, perform work-group management, including information systems and technology support functions, and manage hardware and software. Perform and manage a variety of communications and IM tasks and activities, including staff support, publishing, records, and administrative communications. Perform configuration, management, and initial diagnostics of information systems, coordinate and document information systems repairs, run system diagnostics, and determine the cause of hardware and software failures. Remove and replace components and peripherals to restore system operation and install and configure software operating systems and applications. Organize, maintain, and share data, information, and knowledge to ensure authoritative information is available across the staff at all classification levels, including releasable, and to the warfighter at the speed of need. Collaborate with the common IT team to design, create, implement, and maintain technical IM and KM solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with office management, publications and forms management, or preparing, controlling, and processing written communications

-Experience with performing or supervising the distribution of messages, planning and programming, document security, records management, publications and forms, or preparing, monitoring, controlling, and processing electronic communications

-Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance and Cybersecurity practices and procedures, including DIACAP, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and DoD policy and guidance, such as DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Completion of Advanced Information Management Course

-Knowledge Management Certifications

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with collaboration or Web service applications, information architectures, records management, and knowledge management principles

-Experience with performing or supervising knowledge management planning functions, including applying knowledge management principles, solutions, and technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of DoD organizations

-Knowledge of planning and coordinating the complete life cycle of organizational data and information assets, including enterprise information management, technologies, information security, and knowledge operations

-BA or BS degree in IT, CS, Business, Mathematics, or Information Systems
