Configuration Manager

Key Role:

Provide product configuration services for manufacturing operations and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Perform all configuration and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for tasks necessary to establish Configuration Control (CC) and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) work. Work with Model Based Product Support (MBPS) and the Navy Data Environment (NDE), including Navy Modernization Plan (NMP), Entitlement Process (EP), Afloat Master Planning Schedule (AMPS), and Navy Modernization (NM). Monitor, review, disseminate for review, and track ECPs and Change Documents for ILS impacts, required configuration records, and logistics products updates and development, and manage ILS Certification as required. Track all technical and supportability requirements for the control of configuration modifications such as ECP, Ship Change Document (SCD), and Alteration, to established Configuration Items (CIs), which includes definition of functional and physical characteristics, configuration change justification, and impact on all technical and ILS elements, schedules, reviews, retrofit requirements, and life cycle cost estimates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Navy Modernization Process
  • Experience in ILS Certification Development and SCD development, including initiation or submission
  • Experience using the NDE and applications such as Afloat Master Planning System, Fleet Modernization Program Information, EP, ILS, Navy Modernization .NET, NDE Reports .Net, and NMP Website
  • Experience in using and gaining access to the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) and JETDAS or CDMD for nomenclature assignment
  • Experience in the execution of Configuration Control Boards to include acting as Secretariat and distributing post board deliverables to include charters, agendas, briefs, and minutes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Knowledge of ships availability planning and scheduling
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Configuration Management Databases-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA)
  • Knowledge of the MBPS data environment
  • Ability to prepare and submit a Configuration Overhaul Planning date for configuration database cleanup
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
