Cyber Analyst

Key Role:

Assume responsibility for planning and synchronizing offensive cyberspace operations (OCO) in support of non-lethal and information operations targeting actions. Conduct coordination, synchronization, de-confliction, and execution of cyber targeting effects in support of organizational priorities with a variety of military commands. Serve as a cyber and joint targeting subject-matter expert for OCO operational planning teams (OPTs) and other joint and interagency OPTs and working groups. Provide technical expertise and guidance to leadership with respect to cyber targeting effects and possible collateral damage to better inform decisions during targeting boards. Focus primarily on nation states, non-state actors, and other threat actor operations within the command’s area of responsibility with respect to fires and targeting efforts. Process and analyze cyber threat intelligence data, and compile reports as needed. Leverage expertise of cyber data and information, analyze and identify data requirements, use specialized tools and services, and develop intelligence products. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise, including full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, work without considerable direction, and supervise and mentor team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with cyber in supporting intel targeting
  • 1+ years of experience developing cyber collection plans and risk assessments in support of intelligence products
  • Experience with available search tools employed by U.S. Commands or the Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Knowledge of national and service-specific cyber policy and regulations
  • Ability to collaborate in person and electronically with targeting staffs at lower and higher echelons on a routine basis
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as a cyber intelligence analyst or cyber planner at the Joint level  
  • Knowledge of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)  
  • Ability to engage with senior intelligence analysts across the DoD and IC
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
