Financial Improvement, Audit Readiness, and Manager’s Internal Control Program Technician, Senior

The Challenge:

You will work as a Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) and Manager’s Internal Control Program (MICP) Technician in support of a Department of Defense Joint element. As a FIAR and MICP Technician, you will provide expert advice, analyses, and assistance in carrying out responsibilities and all actions required to support FIAR and MICP to support the element. You will be responsible to develop a Financial Improvement Plans (FIP) for each assessable unit and assist the Comptrollers in continued discovery, testing, and validation efforts that acquire audit readiness validation for assigned financial segments.  

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD accounting or auditing
  • 3+ years of experience with General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)
  • Experience with creating verbal and written communication products for clients
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars A-123, A-134, A-136, and other OMB policies
  • Knowledge of DoD and Army financial management policies and procedures, Army policies, systems, and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with supporting Special Operations organizations

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
