Air Base Air Defense IT Systems Engineer

The Challenge: 

The Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) IT Systems Engineer provides IT support and documentation package creation for our clients Air Defense Systems Integration Laboratory (RADSIL) and its remote systems. This will include: as-built documentation of the RADSIL ABAD systems, including network topology, and a compilation of sustainment metrics such as expected failure rates, expected maintenance down-times, and overall availability. The Systems Engineer provides a detailed plan of the ABAD system's future architecture to include but not be limited to the phased approach to deliver capability, the approach to acquire that capability, and the risk/issues associated with the plan.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with IT Systems Engineering

  • Knowledge of network design and maintenance, fault isolation, performance monitoring, configuration management standards, principles, and techniques

  • Knowledge of domain knowledge sufficient to assess, and document the performance of modern air defense systems

  • Ability to interface with various stakeholders and contractors to understand their technology and capabilities and how to employ it across the ABAD System

  • Ability to develop necessary software code to fuse various systems together to operate within the ABAD System

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • BA or BS degree and 12 years of experience with IT Systems Engineering or MA or MS degree and 10 years of experience with Systems Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in working with US Air Force

  • Ability to effectively interact and brief senior Government civilian and military leadership

  • Experience with Air Force C2 within an Air Operations Center (AOC)

  • Experience with high-level writing and briefing skills
