Key Role:
Support and assist with efforts to translate European Theater Operations (ETO) system capabilities and gaps to support an Air Force client's Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) mission. Provide technical and analytical assistance to assess weapon system capabilities and translate system requirements into resource evaluation and documentation products. Provide support to effectively plan, program, budget, and execute resource requirements and assist with performing capabilities, program, and cost analyses for new and modified systems, including managing, developing, and analyzing resource documentation for the core mission supporting program execution. Build and defend 4-Star decision data via the USAF Strategic Planning Process and directly influence the POM process once those planning decisions are made. Assist and support efforts to accomplish studies, technical analysis, and reports, including analyzing USAF Air Operations Plans and force flow requirements to support IAMD of units and personnel. Assist with the development of training objectives, scenarios, and vignettes for IAMD exercise and training events, coordinate and execute planning meetings to develop IAMD exercises and events with Joint and international partners, and assist with the execution of these events. Produce capstone analyses and reports to inform the Requirements Generation, Strategic Planning, Programming, and Science and Technology process and identify and prioritize capability gaps and develop strategies toward defensible solutions for the IAMD mission.
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience as USAF MAJCOM or higher Air Force-level staff
-5+ years of experience as operations, staff, or working on a specific Air Superiority Core Mission
-5+ years of experience as a rated operational F-15 or F-22 instructor pilot
-Knowledge of the Air Superiority Core Function Mission
-Knowledge of Air Operations Center (AOC) operations processes and doctrine
-Ability to work unsupervised, produce presentations, briefings, and background papers, provide detailed technical oral presentations and well researched documents, and plan, coordinate, and execute exercises
-Active TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience as an Air Operations Control Chief of Combat Operations, Chief of Combat Plans, or Strategy Division Chief
-Knowledge of IAMD tactics, techniques, and procedures and the ETO threat matrix
-Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute ETO-wide readiness verification exercises
-MS or MBA degree
-PMP Certification
-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
