Key Role:
Develop communications and internal networks in US, international, and coalition Operational and Tactical Command and Control (C2) environments. Administer security procedures and monitor and make recommendations to improve network performance. Interface with internal and external customers and make significant contributions to DoD, US Air Force, Joint Staff, and a combatant command’s goals, requirements, and planning efforts. Develop, integrate, and validate network architectures for US, international, and coalition interoperability and management of multi-tactical data link networks, equipment, and sustainment at the operational and tactical levels. Manage, implement, standardize, and coordinate C2 network integration activities. Apply subject matter expertise to and participate in meetings, requirements discussions, and working groups supporting US, international, and coalition theater air control system and Air Operations Center (AOC) C2 integration.
Basic Qualifications:
-6+ years of experience with tactical or operational C2
-Experience with Tactical Data Link network planning, integration, and operation
-Experience with server virtualization, IP networking, data communications, and satellite communications systems design
-Knowledge of IP network communications, IT, telecommunications, system management, and control systems
-Knowledge of cryptography, vulnerability assessment, and exploitation techniques
-Active Top Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 10 years of experience with network engineering or BA or BS degree or 6+ years of experience with network engineering
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a Joint or allied mission environment working with military or coalition partner aerospace defense weapon systems
-Experience with designing and supporting data communications systems, IP networks, tactical satellite communications systems, and concepts of operations (CONOPS) development
-Experience with defining, developing, validating, and managing system interfaces and integrating complex voice and data and network systems and components
-Experience with developing and validating system architecture for system of systems and validating system functionality through hardware and software development efforts
-Experience with supporting verification test activities of hardware, software, and system requirements
-Experience with logistics management and execution
-Experience with project management
-Knowledge of European Theater of Operations (ETO) operational plans, aerospace weapon systems capabilities and limitations, and DoD weapon system Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) doctrine
-Ability to apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments broadly
-Ability to solve a diverse range of complex problems and work with limited direction
-TS/SCI clearance
-MA or MS degree
-Completion of formal training in Data Link Planning and Operations
