Strategic Engagement Planner, Mid

Key Role:

Support the development and implementation of programs for a multinational association of partner nation air forces and provide planning and facilitation support to a US Air Force client’s strategic engagement with foreign partners, including multinational senior leader meetings, seminars, and conferences. Conduct analyses of strategic engagement objectives to ensure they align with combatant command and service component security cooperation objectives. Assist with coordinating event moderators and briefers to prepare presentation material whose content aligns with event objectives. Provide event planning and execution support, including scheduling, content preparation, and coordination among the US and foreign participating organizations. Apply expertise in the development and manage information and communications related to command strategic engagements through client designated information systems, including SharePoint and All Partners Access Network. This job requires frequent international travel throughout Europe and Africa.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with DoD security cooperation or security assistance programs
  • Experience in the development and implementation of DoD strategic or operational level programs in close coordination with foreign partners
  • Experience with planning and executing organizational events, including symposia, conferences, and seminars
  • Experience in leading planning teams, working groups, and meetings with 10+ personnel
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe and Africa
  • Active Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working in Europe or Africa
  • Experience with overcoming bureaucratic and cultural challenges while building partner nation operational and institutional capability and capacity
  • Experience with knowledge and project management applications, including SharePoint 2013, All Partners Access Network (APAN), and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with researching and analyzing legislation and federal regulations and policy
  • Knowledge of US embassy organization and processes and coordinating activities with the Department of State and US embassies
  • MA or MS degree
  • Completion of Defense Security Cooperation University courses
