Space Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Key Role:
Lead and participate in campaign and mission-level analytic efforts for modeling and simulation (M&S) of threat effects to the space enterprise and impacts to the terrestrial warfighter effectively. Mentor, interface, and assist domain experts with the application of analytical expertise across a wide range of disciplines related to DoD space systems, threats, and campaign plans. Comprehend DoD space systems requirements, adjust analytical efforts to meet those requirements, and communicate results to decisions makers effectively in the DoD space enterprise. Coordinate and integrate with government mission partners to leverage cross-domain modeling expertise in support of space-centered multi-domain analysis. Perform detailed software engineering of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) M&S software that supports space analysis efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with modeling, simulation, and detailed analysis of DoD space systems

-Ability to integrate with government mission partners to leverage cross-domain modeling expertise in support of space-centered multi-domain analysis.

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DoD space and Joint programs

-Experience with Joint Campaign planning

-Experience with modeling in MATLAB, Simulink, Python or other frameworks

-Experience with extending and improving software frameworks, including Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages using both custom plugins and source code patches

-Experience with data-driven analysis, Design of Experiments, and optimization algorithms

-BS degree in Astrodynamics, Systems Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Probability, or Statistics

Clearance:
