Operations Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex and highly sensitive systems, policies, processes, and instrumentation regarding foreign threats and homeland security. Determine a procedure for solving complex design, integration, force structure, and analytical problems. Perform technical mission and force structure analysis. Coordinate data collection and analysis among multiple stakeholders to analyze and update operations plans (OPLANs) supporting the Joint force commander's mission and objectives. Assist with preparing briefings and reports on analysis methodologies and results. Analyze the preparation of effective and efficient guidelines, procedures, processes, and plans for recommendation to the Command, including current operations, facilities, unit movement and stationing, contingencies, and crisis actions.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience in working with military plans or operations environments at the Service or Joint level

-5+ years of experience with working directly for a General or Flag officers

-2+ years of experience as staff at a Combatant Command (COCOM) headquarters or department-level governmental agency headed by a General or Flag officer or Senior Executive Service civilian

-Experience with the development, analysis, and assessment of theater level Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) exercises and capabilities and requirements to support a major OPLAN

-Experience with observing, collating, and inputting into the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS)

-Knowledge of the Combatant Command client's relationships and missions

-Knowledge of client transformation efforts and associated OPLANs

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
