Key Roles:

Perform tasks independently as a member of a team conducting operational cybersecurity readiness inspections for DoD clients.  Perform system security evaluations for secure operation of IT Systems across the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), using Marine Corps and DoD approved security tools and methodologies.  Operate automated tools to quickly and accurately identify systems that are exploitable for a given vulnerability or are insecurely configured. Analyze results, remove false positives, and recommend mitigations for all identified vulnerabilities.  Apply tested and approved system patches to mitigate vulnerabilities as patches become available or adjust system configurations.  Provide recommendations of threat and vulnerability mitigation conducted by means of architecture review, documentation review, security scanning and scanning results review, and configuration verification.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in conducting DoD network, system, or organizational cyber readiness inspections
• Experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), DOD Certification & Accreditation Process (DIACAP), National Information Assurance Certification & Accreditation Process (NIACAP), or the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS)
• Experience with security or system auditing tools, including ACAS, HBSS, or Splunk
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• IAM Level II or IAT Level II Certification

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with conducting code reviews, ICS/SCADA inspections
• Experience analyzing and communicating network security issues to peers and to management
• Knowledge of networking and router technologies, as well as network security issues.
• Knowledge of mobile code, malicious code, and Anti-Virus software
• Knowledge of DoD organization, culture, and policy
• Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux, Cisco, GIAC, CEH, HP Fortify, or eWPT certifications

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
