Continuity of Operations Specialized Planner

Key Role:

Serves as a Combatant Command Continuity of Operations (COOP) planner. Apply subject matter expertise to managing low density and high demand programs for the US government and DoD. Implement an evolving COOP framework, strategic approach, and evolving CONOPS and develop an integrated road map to meet national policy directives and Commander’s and HQ intent. Leverage subject matter expertise in the strategy, design, architecture, CONOPS, acquisition management strategy, logistics, engineering, inter-governmental partnership building, Program Element execution, and other classified actions and management actions to address USEUCOM’s needs statements and requirements. Provide full-spectrum, senior-level consultant SME support, working with external organizations and agencies, leveraging well developed relationships and understanding of roles and responsibilities within the Executive Branch, DoD, other Combatant Commands, and other defense agencies and elements. This position requires the ability to travel regionally and internationally.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with working a COOP program at Major Command or higher level

-3+ years of experience with operational-level planning

-Ability to travel regionally and internationally

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Completion of Command and General Staff College or a Service equivalent

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Mission Assurance

-Possession of excellent analytical skills at the strategic and operational level

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree

-Graduate of the National or Service War College

-Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or other continuity certification
