Cyberspace Capability Development Specialist, Senior

The Challenge:

As a Cyberspace Capability Development Specialist on our team, you’ll work with US European Ally and Partner nation military leaders to support development and interoperability of military cyber forces. You will manage a portfolio of countries and coordinate with foreign nations cyber leaders to aid in discovery of cyber risks, comprehend applicable policies, and develop mitigation plans, plan activities for joint cyber planning and executing defensive cyberspace operations, and leverage US DoD resources and security cooperation programs to advance these areas.

Use your expertise to perform analysis of IT Controls and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational policy; makes recommendations to enhance security, operations and operational efficiencies. Serve as SME validator of requirements necessary to advance foreign MOD cyber organization's operationalization of Cybersecurity Operations Centers, meeting industry and NIST compliance standards and best practices, and executing cyber threat identification mitigation functions. 

You’ll work collaboratively with US military country team desk officers, Component cyber forces, program offices, and other DoD and DoS stakeholders to strengthen US Allies and Partner nations cyberspace capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience working in cybersecurity, incident response, assessments and compliance
  • 5+ years of experience with industry recognized, NIST, or European Union cybersecurity assessments or compliance evaluation methodology and execution
  • Experience working with Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS), DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), hardening systems, or applying Information Assurance (IA) controls
  • Ability to assess cybersecurity gaps and identify solutions, develop a roadmap in a written report as well as brief leadership.
  • Ability to travel to European countries up to 25%
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance
  • DoD 8570 Compliant IAM II or IAM III Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with foreign nation's military personnel
  • Experience with preparing DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Processes (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and supporting documentation
  • Ability to work independent with little day-to-day guidance
