Data Analyst

Key Role:

Analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative and rational basis for decision making or resource allocation. Utilize advanced knowledge of modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematical techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions. Provide work leadership to junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with working in the DoD as military, civilian, or contractor in a major command or higher headquarters

-2+ years of experience with data science, computer science, statistics, or operations research disciplines, including 1 year performing statistical studies

-Experience with data management, including using MS Excel and VBA

-Experience with data analysis and visualization software, such as using R, Tableau, or SPSS

-Experience with the USAFRICOM Transport Control Protocol (TCP) assessment process, methodology, framework in identifying gaps, and resourcing issues for program review

-Experience with researching, managing, and coordinating large data inputs to produce comprehensive reports for senior staff

-Knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language

-Top Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with interagency partners

-Experience with a Joint or Combined HQ

-Ability to be a highly flexible self-starter capable of operating in a high-tempo environment under less than ideal time-management conditions

-Possession of excellent analytical skills at the strategic and operational levels

-Possession of excellent oral and written communications, research, and organizational skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred
