Data Engineer

Key Role:

Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs. Identify, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems. Design data inventory, catalogue, storage, access, usage, integration, and management using different data regimes and digital systems. Identify and provide recommendations for the selection of backend database technologies, including Structured Query Language (SQL), Not Only SQL (NoSQL), or High-Performance Computing (HPC) configuration and utilization, and the optimization of the full data pipeline infrastructure to support the actual content, volume, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), and periodicity of data to support the intended kinds of queries and analysis to match expected responsiveness. Work closely with the Knowledge Management Team to develop standardized approaches to data and supporting policies to ensure interoperability within existing systems of record on all networks. Collaborate with internal and external partners and mentoring stakeholders on data standardization, data normalization, and data convergence. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis including managing, retrieving, processing, and optimizing data
  • Experience with supporting military and DoD programs
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with coding capabilities including Java and Python.
  • Experience with DOD intelligence systems
  • Experience with workflow automation, information systems, and applications development
  • Experience with interfacing between Microsoft including SharePoint, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, lnfoPath, Power Bl, and Visio

Clearance:
