Key Role:
Conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and support staff planning for the development and integration of our clients support plans into operational plans. Review crisis and contingency response concepts of operations and draft functional policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and annexes to component-level contingency plans and steady-state campaign plans. Support component-level participation in combatant command and Service planning conferences, working groups, and staff processes to align service capabilities and activities with joint and service strategic objectives. Provide support to command readiness and assessment evaluations and development of country plan objectives. Leverage decision-support products to inform senior-leader decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Marine Corps, Army, or other joint deliberate planning processes, including MCPP, MDMP, NPP, or JOPPA
3+ years of experience in planning and conducting large-scale planning events requiring coordination with external agencies and organizations
3+ years of experience with supporting high-level headquarters staff
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, developing PowerPoint slides and presenting to or briefing senior leadership
Active TS/SCI clearance
BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with strategic and joint planning processes, including Adaptive Planning and Execution (APEX)
Experience with leading Operational Planning teams
Experience with writing Operational Plan Annex C
Experience with planning and executing Marine Corps operations in joint and combined operations or large-scale exercises
Knowledge of Joint, Naval, and USMC doctrine and capabilities
Knowledge of Marine Corps' roles, missions, capabilities, and structure
Knowledge of DoD, Partner Nation, and International Organizations plan objectives
Completion of Professional Military Education, including Expeditionary Warfare School, Command and Staff College, School of Advanced Warfare, Naval Post Graduate School, or equivalent
Clearance:
