Eastern European Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:

Demonstrate subject matter expertise in Eastern European political strategy development and policy. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex or highly sensitive systems, policies, and processes pertaining to diplomatic, informational, military, and economic (DIME) factors. Advise on priorities for engaging and developing value propositions for strategic partners, including other nations or international organizations. Perform in-depth analyses and reports and brief changes, trends, and implications for Combatant Command objectives. Monitor, identify, and analyze international developments and public policy issues and trends and assess their impact on strategy in regions of interest to the client and partner nations. Serve as an expert for the organization in specific regions, maintain area expertise, and prepare reports, briefs, presentations, plans, and media releases. Examine the central concerns of international relations, including diplomacy, foreign policy, international organizations, international political economy, and global development. This position will require some travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with the application of Eastern European military culture and policy to real-world events for government or commercial organizations
  • 4+ years of experience with Eastern European regional issues and challenges
  • Experience with diplomatic, economic, and political analysis and strategy
  • Experience with negotiation and diplomacy
  • Ability to demonstrate Russian language proficiency at the DLPT 2/2 level
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with managing personnel or contract finances​
  • Ability to demonstrate Russian language proficiency at the DLPT 3/3 level preferred
  • Possession of strong management consulting skills including onsite client interaction
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including delivery to 3-star and higher senior leaders or equivalent
  • MA or MS degree in International Relations, Foreign Affairs, National Security Policy, or related field
