Information Environment Analyst

Key Role:

Improve Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) readiness, collaboration, and effectiveness within staff as well as higher and adjacent organizations. Integrate Information Related Capabilities (IRCs) into campaign, operations, and contingency plans. Support maintaining OIE battlespace awareness with a focus on designated audiences and areas, including using various collection platforms, sources of information, and staff touchpoints. Support OIE planning, coordination, collaboration, execution, and assessment across staff and external agencies. Assess the effects of OIE in designated audiences, events, and areas with a focus on advising key staff supporting staff collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with conducting open-source research, competitive intelligence or commercial due diligence, all-source intelligence analysis, targeting and counterintelligence (CI) operations or analysis at major military headquarters

-3+ years of experience with two or more Information Related Capabilities (IRCs), including Public Affairs, Civil Affairs, Electronic Warfare, Cyber Operations, Operations Security (OPSEC), Information Assurance (IA) and Cyber Electro-Magnetic Activities (CEMA)

-Knowledge of USMC and Joint operations, processes, and command relations

-Ability to write analytic assessments, interactive information retrieval (IIR) evaluations, and source-directed requirements (SDRs)

-Ability to create and present briefings to senior-level military and civilian leaders

-Ability to sort through large amounts of intelligence reports to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the European theater

-Experience with the United States Marine Corps

-Experience with OIE

-Experience with briefing senior leadership

-Experience in leveraging internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, and commercial or industry-based databases with automated analysis tools

-Experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process or Joint Operational Planning Process

-Knowledge of advanced Internet-based research, including Boolean logic, advanced research techniques, search engine and, database resources

-TS/SCI clearance
