Knowledge Manager

Key Role:

Serve as a Knowledge Management specialist by developing, implementing, and maintaining a knowledge management program to support Special Operations. Enable collaboration of data to provide leadership with information to make informed decisions. Aid the organization in creating and maintaining repeatable processes for continual process improvement. Promote and assist with the use of internal knowledge management tools. Integrate information from across organizations, agencies, and systems to facilitate easy access, sharing, and dissemination of information. Ensure continuity of information and task focus during unit and individual deployments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with implementing knowledge management strategies principles, procedures, and processes in the DoD

  • Experience with Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) or SOF Service Component Headquarters

  • Experience with building, managing, and setting the direction of the knowledge management framework and knowledge management team members

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2016 and Office365 platforms

  • Experience with creating, capturing, organizing, and assessing knowledge assets for enterprise use and with designing and maintaining a knowledge system and library accessible to all decision makers and other stakeholders in the organization

  • Knowledge of SOF operations, activities, terminology, and force construct 

  • Ability to manage processes and activities to support organizational communications, including correspondence preparation, distribution, suspense tracking, workflow management, electronic mail management, and content management

  • Ability to brief executive-level leadership

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with strategic planning and developing and synchronizing complex plans and tasks

  • Ability to provide quality control and corrected feedback for submitted forms and documents before publication

  • Ability to produce high quality work, including independently, with a team, and in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to instruct members of the organization on the KM systems and processes

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Knowledge Specialist Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
