The Challenge:
In an evolving and challenging strategic environment, the military needs visionaries that can understand where an organization needs to go to meet the rapidly changing operational environment now and into the future. What if you could use your analytical skills and operational planning experience to help your client make better informed decisions and develop military plans to overcome the current and future operational challenges? As an operational command, control, communications, and computer (C4) plans analyst, you can use your operational planning and military communications experience to ensure your client develops thorough and executable planning products and decision-support tools, so they are better prepared to execute command and control to protect our national interest.
As an operational C4 plans analyst on our team, you’ll be a valuable member of our small local team that works closely with cross-functional planners and experienced technical C4 experts to provide assessment services and valued recommendations on improving C4 operational readiness in the unit’s area of operations. You’ll support staff planning for the development and integration of theater campaign, operations, and contingency planning. You’ll support reviews of crisis and contingency response concepts of operations and help draft functional C4 policies, SOPs, and annexes to component-level contingency plans and steady-state campaign plans. You’ll support component-level participation in combatant command and Service C4 conferences, working groups, and staff processes to align service capabilities and activities with joint and service strategic objectives. You Have:
• 3+ years of experience as a Marine Corps or Navy C4 planner in a cross-functional environment
• 3+ years of experience in planning and conducting large-scale C4 events requiring coordination with multiple organizations and departments
• 3+ years of experience with supporting high-level headquarters staff
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, developing PowerPoint slides, and presenting to or briefing senior leadership
• Ability to manage planning efforts of multiple events simultaneously
• TS/SCI clearance
• BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
• Experience with leading Operational Planning Teams
• Experience with writing Operational Plan Annex K and C4 systems
• Experience with planning and executing Marine Corps or Navy C4 operations in joint and combined operations or large-scale exercises
• Knowledge of Joint, Naval, and Marine Corps C4 doctrine and capabilities
• Knowledge of Marine Corps' roles, missions, capabilities, and structure
• Knowledge of the Navy/Marine Corps Planning and Joint Planning processes
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possession of excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Completion of Professional Military Education (JPME Phase I), Naval or Marine Corps Command and Staff
