Key Role:

Support the client through the integration of operational contract support (OCS) planning across all staff elements, throughout the range of military operations, and across joint capability areas. Advise the client on supplementing organic logistics services with contracted support in such areas as deployment and distribution, supply, maintenance, troop services, and engineering and installation support. Advise the client on the scope and sufficiency of operational contract support plans developed by subordinate, adjacent, and international partner organizations to ensure that Requirements Definition, OCS Program Management and Contingency Contracting processes are orchestrated and synchronized. Apply expertise and program management to the evaluation of operational contract support readiness and deployability. Operate independently to continuously review contractor personnel management policies and procedures to ensure optimum fit and compliance with US Statutes and DoD policies and directives. Develop creative solutions that align available commercial support capability and capacity to efficiently and effectively meet client objectives. Ensure that OCS considerations are represented in exercises by participating in exercise planning conferences and developing OCS Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs) and support and promote programmatic integration of OCS principles throughout client plans and operations by maintaining an OCS lessons learned repository and attending conferences, workshops, and meetings. This position will require travel of up to 30% of the time throughout Europe and US.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as an OCS planner, operational logistics planner, exercise logistics planner, contracting officer, or contracting specialist at a DoD geographic combatant command, theater service component command, or theater service contracting organization
• Experience in working with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
• Active Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with working in a DoD Joint overseas environment
• Knowledge of DoD logistics information systems, such as Logistics Functional Area System (LOGFAS), Standard Base Supply (SBS), or Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army)
• BA or BS degree
• Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II Contracting or Program Management Certification
