Key Role:
Develop and integrate Special Operations Forces-specific capabilities at command component, staff, and Joint Staff levels. Produce documents, including reports, briefing presentations, and other product formats as directed. Assist the staff with integrating and synchronizing capabilities into plans and operations. Support execution of, participation in, and contribution to boards, cells, working groups, and Operational Planning Teams to ensure integration with broader command objectives and processes. Participate in and support CONOP development, staffing, and execution. Structure, lead, and participate in internal division battle rhythm events. Assist the staff with strategic goals by identifying future requirements and potential shortfalls.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience with Special Operations Forces, including leadership roles
Experience in the European theater of operations
Experience writing U.S. Department of Defense documents, including military orders, CONOPs, or MICONs
Experience with operational planning processes as a maneuver element or staff member in Operations, including J3, J33, and J35
Ability to produce high-quality documents based on intent
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
Knowledge of Department of Defense strategic planning frameworks, including SECDEF-level guidance, Operations Plans, and Orders
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Clearance:
