Operations Readiness and Assessment Analyst

Key Role:

Support the development and execution of a comprehensive operations readiness and assessment program. Improve the responsiveness of staff support for the integration of strategic planning, contingency planning, and campaign and readiness assessments. Mitigate threats to forward-deployed forces and set theater conditions for future crisis and contingency response operations by on-site analytic support. Analyze operations, activities, and investments to assess and improve readiness and assessment support in the achievement of service headquarters priorities and theater objectives. Provide responsive research, analysis, recommendations, and staff products that are fully integrated with service headquarters direction, component-level campaign plans, campaign support plans, and Combatant Command guidance and direction. Provide continuity, improved synchronization, and process improvement for assessments reporting to adjacent and higher units.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with exercise and operations assessments at a General Officer-led military headquarters, including assessments of Joint exercises, security cooperation events, service exercises, and internal headquarters level assessments

-Experience with Joint Training Information Systems (JTIMS)

-Experience with DoD readiness software’s Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)

-Experience with the use of Microsoft Office Suite

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the European or African theaters

-Experience with the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps specific systems

-Experience with assessments and readiness analysis at the tactical and operational levels of warfare

-Experience with preparing and presenting briefings to senior leadership

-Experience with joint planning, building partner capacity operations, and expeditionary operations

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance
