Budget Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as a Budget Analyst and prepare operating budget analysis for units or departments based on actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports and other factors. Review expenditures of requisitioning departments to ensure conformance to budget, maintain records of expenses, inventories, and budget balances. Audit vouchers and expense accounts and maintain records of actual operating figures for comparison with estimated budget. Assist in the installation of budgetary control systems. Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of a particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. Assist with the review and evaluation of personnel performance. Analyze organization policy.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with the DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution system

-Experience with ERP Systems to include General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)

-Experience with developing military interdepartmental purchase requests and with developing budget spend plans

-Experience with Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Joint Doctrine and the Joint Planning Process

-Experience with Joint and Combined Operational and Strategic level planning

-Experience at a Joint or Combined HQ with Joint doctrine and Budgetary Programming, Analysis, and Accounting

-Experience with USAFRICOM Resources Integration Tool (AFRIT), and Resource Information Management System (RIMS)

-Possession of excellent analytical skills at the strategic and operational level
