Regional Benefits Specialist

Key Role:

Work with the Europe region lead to manage activities of approximately 20 VA benefits advisors in Europe who will provide information regarding VA benefits and services to active duty servicemembers on DoD Military Installations through both instructor-led classes and one-on-one assistance. Monitor event schedule and staffing and work with site leads and the region lead in addressing any gaps that arise from capacity constraints. Monitor the quality of routine event data reporting. Manage the region travel request, risk management, and inventory management processes. Receive training and be prepared to deliver formal briefings to groups of up to 50, conduct individual counseling, and perform community outreach and public engagement events, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience working in a professional environment
-Experience presenting prepared training to large groups
-Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in a professional environment, AA or AS degree 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with benefits administration
-Experience with the military
-Knowledge of military culture
-Possession of excellent consulting skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Public Trust clearance preferred
-BA or BS degree preferred
