Space Capabilities Planner

As a Space Capabilities Planner, you use your specialized subject matter expertise and your attention to detail to synchronize space integration effects for theater plans and coordinate theater space support requirements and capabilities to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our warfighters and inform senior leaders.

As a Space Capabilities Planner on our team, you’ll help your client understand how to integrate global space systems and capabilities to support a combatant command client’s objectives. Using your comprehensive understanding of various platforms, you’ll explore new data sources, build effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources, including SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, MASINT, and OSINT. You’ll validate information and develop plans and define requirements as you build assessments for senior military leaders and policy makers. As the authority on your topic, your client will look to you for time critical recommendations, often under pressure. This is a chance to grow your expertise and broaden your skillset into areas like planning and integration of space capabilities and systems into operational plans. You’ll share your expertise with other analysts through leadership and mentoring. You Have:

-5+ years of experience performing space planning at the MAJCOM- or higher-level

-5+ years of experience in assisting with the planning and integration of space capabilities and systems into operations plans

-5+ years of experience with planning, supporting, and coordinating theater-level space supporting functions and capabilities with USSTRATCOM or other government agencies that provide strategic and operational space capabilities to the combatant commands

-5+ years of experience in assisting with the development of intelligence requirements and requests that are identified by the command to support all theater plans and operations related to space operations and activities

-5+ years of experience with presenting to command leadership on space supporting functions and capabilities outlined in the theater plans, orders, and operations, including emerging systems and capabilities that other services and agencies are developing

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Graduate of a Joint Planning and Execution System (JOPES) course
