Special Programs Planner

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of and experience with warfighting disciplines, COA analysis, strategy development, and organizational processes and procedures as a military Special Programs Planner within a Combatant Command directorate. Conduct deliberate and contingency planning, analysis of functional plan development, validation, coordination, and integration in conjunction with higher headquarters, components, DoD, and Interagency. Serve as a lead for Integrated Joint operations and Military Deception (MILDEC) collaboration and initiatives. Provide quality and relevant input on strategic and operational plans, contingency plans, operations orders, execution orders, fragmentary orders, and strategic operational analysis reports. Apply expertise in information operations (IO), doctrine, operations, policy, and authority and integrate lessons learned to support senior leader decision making. Conduct and validate research and analysis and prepare information papers, decision papers, and briefings to inform client leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with IO, training, planning, requirements, or analysis

-Knowledge of national, DoD, Joint guidance on IO and Joint operations, and Military Deception (MILDEC), including unified command plan responsibilities and Joint operations

-Ability to execute projects and studies within established time constraints

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with implementing plans and operations involving IO, Joint operations, or MILDEC

-Experience in dealing with European, African, or Asian problem sets

-Knowledge of processes and procedures for the development, implementation, and execution of operation plans and orders, including the DoD and its structures and relationships, Joint Staff, and inter-agency structures and relationships

-Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative analyses techniques and provide analytical methodology and reasoning to assess complex problems or define and clarify alternative solutions

-Ability to organize and lead teams tasked to originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred
