Strategic Communications Coordinator and Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Design, develop, produce, and integrate strategic communications into existing and developing plans. Coordinate across Combatant Command and Component staffs and battle rhythms to identify messaging strategies that support desired effects. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise to plan and produce messaging products with a focus on providing decision support to senior leaders. Apply advanced consulting skills to enable the detection and mitigation of adversary malign influence. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and work without considerable direction. This position requires international and domestic travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with strategic messaging, social media campaigns, crisis communication, community engagement, media operations, public speaking, web management, or multimedia production
  • 6+ years of experience with the US military or Department of Defense (DoD) at the Combatant Command Level                        
  • 3+ years of experience planning, coordinating, and executing joint or multinational operational planning teams, working groups, and conferences
  • 3+ years of experience with providing decision support at the Flag, General, or SES level
  • Experience operating in a multinational environment, working directly at a strategic-level staff with foreign partners and Allied militaries
  • Experience with information operations, public affairs, and the Joint Function of Information (JFoI)
  • Experience developing communications strategies, talking points, and other communications products in support of senior leaders at the Combatant Command level 
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelors degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Information Operations Officer or Civil Affairs Officer
  • Experience with the military planning process, preferably Joint Planning Process, but service specific planning processes are suitable substitute
  • Experience providing innovative recommendations for key leader engagements, public messaging, private messaging, and other messaging endeavors to reach local, national, and international audiences
  • Knowledge of photojournalism, graphic design, or videography in an overseas environment
  • Experience with military planning processes
  • Experience as an Information Operations Officer or Civil Affairs Officer
  • Knowledge of photojournalism, graphic design, or videography in an overseas environment
  • Master’s degree
  • Defense Information School (DINFOS) training

Clearance:
